E.A. gives some personal background as introduction, and then discusses some common questions about ritual evocation of spiritual entities to visible materialization.
During this podcast - there was a recommendation that anybody who gets involved in Evocation and chooses to work with Demonic entities needs to learn Excorcism.
This raises several questions in light of the suggestions as I understand them given in this podcast so the questions I have are:
1) What is the psychology or nature of Demonic Entities 2) Please define Excorcism and the attitude of the Excorcist during an exorcism - where does the power come from - does the formula of omnipotence the true seat of power?
This naturally brings up possession as a topic:
1) Are there any kind of entities other than Demons that posses people 2) What are the forms of possession - I mean are there any types different to the holywood type? 3) Can Possesion be of benefit? 4) What attracts a demon or motivates an entity to pursue or destroy a person - or animal etc as a host. 5) Are their discarnates who are not entities of demonic origin that are purely malignant? (this is slightly different to the 1st question) 6) Can Evocation lead to possesion? 7) Can Invocation lead to possesion? 8) How do you know when to do an excorcism - and what are the signs to look for... 9) Would an entity return with others to occupy the vessel? 10) Can they be bound or destroyed? 11) Why does it take on average 15 years for a Catholic Excorcist who has made enemies with the Demonic to suffer and die? Is this for a chance to perform cruelty on the human - as I expect that Demons or any other entity could bring about death alot sooner...
My Great Grandmother - was able to stop the children in the village and her own from seizures - using an Athame and stabbing it into the ground after using a verse - and either she or another family member used 2 athames for similar reasons.
Why would the children have been 'attacked' in the first place?
Were they attacked?
How can she have power over them with such a method?
She must have been handed down some knowledge.
What sources or practices in addition to the Roman Tradition that could enhance or deepen this knowledge.
Are there entities that could assist? (that would not create havoc - as per the Spider and the Green Butterfly - some Houses of Spirits do not mix)
Do you use divination or any other method to work out a strategy first?
What is a good thing to do in 'an emergency' (if you come across something that could require immediate attention)
I have realised a few things since this podcast - and the last one... regarding evocation.
I am starting to realise these things thanks to your guidance.
I have seen the manifestations during a blessing ritual (first a clearing ritual I use was done) - where entities have manifested as bright lights at the outer parts of the room. They were shimmering - clearly there in my perception.
There was alot of incence burning at the time - and I was using coal disks francincense and mhyrr.
The smoke from what I understand must have assisted in the beggining of their materialisation - and my intentions within days were made manifest...
hmmmmmmmm it has me thinking... and remembering certain moments where I 'just went with things' but now its making a lot more sense - things are crystalising for me...
In a church - I also called for - or - invited the angels of the presence to be in that space during a service - the heat increased noticeably to the point where some of the women in the choir had to open the doors (and its a large church) and got their fans out! lol
Off to one side of the platform before the entrance to the altar - a shimmering form of a cross - with three crossbars appeared - similar to the one Crowley uses to sign his name in some of his work as Baphomet.
That seemed worth recounting as an experience. Later after the cross dissapeared - the temperature fell back to normal..
